Light, Landscape, and the Unexpected

"Let There Be Light..." Exhibition | April 30, 2022
Latitude Art Space, Art Factory Building & A1 Art Space

On the evening of April 30, 2022, YBAF joined forces with SPCTR—a multidisciplinary concept uniting LED-based illumination with contemporary art—to present “Let There Be Light...”, a luminous exhibition across Latitude Art Space, the Art Factory Building, and A1 Art Space in central Yerevan.

The exhibition featured more than 30 light-infused artworks from the GOBOX Collection, curated to awaken new ways of perceiving space, reflection, and presence. The evening became a city-wide celebration of artistic innovation, with each venue offering a different layer of the experience—from the industrial quietude of the factory to the downtown pulse of A1.

What made the project truly special was the collaboration with a wide array of Armenian artists and designers, many of whom are part of the YBAF family. Among the contributors were:

Sveta Amatuni, David Khodjamirian, Adam Adamyan, Gevor Aram Grigoryan, Yeva Petrosyan, Warren Manvelyan, David Minasyan, Ina Michaelian, Sirin Anoush, and many others—each bringing their own unique language of light and form.

Doowman




David Minasyan (Doowman) is a graphic artist, who does not try to give the observer the ideas stored in his works directly, but instead tries to evoke emotions, contemplation, and reflection.
The evaluator of the work must find his own ideas in David's work.

Gevorg Aram Grigoryan

Gevorg Aram Grigoryan is a multimedia artist.
He possesses excellent multimedia, digital art, audiovisual, music, and video production skills, as well as theater and stage direction, acting, and project direction abilities.
He has participated in various projects such as
"seenThat", "SPCTR," "Oda," "Galique," and "Mards" with different instalations: "technoSapien," "Dimensions: 004" AR installation...
Gevorg is the founder of "di." studio in Armenia, where he works on various multimedia art projects. His diverse skills and experience make him an exceptional asset to the art industry.

Warren Manvelyan




Warren Manvelyan is an artist Illustrator & motion designer Franco-Armenian from Marseilles, cabinetmaker trades, he decided to stop everything and throw body and soul in the work of illustration and draw in particular the art of the vintage and modern orient and propose details of this world reinvented by his prism, is work of the Armenian visual universe and its iconography whose smoke he is fascinated. He says "Smoke represents the soul of people", he also works to make his illustrated creations come alive in order to bring to life the poetry that is hidden in them. He also works on several musical visual projects and participative comics.

Adam Adamyan




Adam Adamyan is a Yerevan-based visual artist known for his bold, expressive portraits and street-style aesthetic. Blending traditional techniques with contemporary edge, his work explores identity, vulnerability, and the raw layers of human emotion. A regular collaborator in YBAF projects, Adam brings intensity and immediacy to every surface he touches—from canvas to wall, from gallery to the streets.

Ina Michaelian




Ina Michaelian is a digital artist who finds inspiration and ideas for drawing in every aspect of life. Socializing, walking in the grocery store, standing in line at the bank, lucid dreaming during daytime naps, walking alone late at night with her dog - at any second of life, in every corner of reality, she finds something admirable if she concentrates enough.
Her era of digital drawing reflects all the impressions she received during various experiences and observations of the periodically changing reality around us.

Yeva Petrosyan

Yeva Petrosyan is an artist. She is open to any kind of art creation but her main focus is traditional painting. Feeling the smell of the paint and being able to mess without deleting it is always a good challenge for her, although living in our times experiments with digital art are difficult to avoid and necessary. The best part for Yeva is to be in the process of creating, as in every stage of portraying, the painting transforms and opens itself up.
Observing that transformation is almost like watching a performance. Yeva is now exploring the world of scenography, the creation of spaces where new ideas can take place. From cooperation, she gains a lot more inspiration, as a group project with like-minded people is a blessing.

Sirin Anoush




Sirin Anoush, an interdisciplinary artist seeking different ways of self-discovery. Her artworks mainly reflect the narrative of her negative experiences and feelings, which she reflects on through different visual media. The photo series she started working with, "EVN patterns" are ere one of the first conceptual steps towards finding herself and the way she sees the issues surrounding her. The series of patterns received the Presidential Award in 2018. She has also participated in 21 exhibitions featuring her most notable works, highlighting artistic vision and ability to showcase. her creative endeavors.
